In one of the deepest fields ever in the Thanksgiving extravaganza Michigan State whooped the host Chaminade and Gonzaga outlasted Maryland in the afternoon session of day one. Michigan State played around for a little while with Chaminade before blowing them out in the second half. Adam Morrison scored 25 to lead the Zags past the Terps.
