Nuggets Coach Suspended

Simmer down George simmer down. George Karl recently was ejected in a game against New Jersey for arguing calls and then went on to elaborate after the game. He ripped Vince Carter for flopping and the refs for calling them. The NBA didn't take too kindly and gave the coach a two game suspension.

Shoeless Joe Jackson

Pete Rose has really come up in debate the last 15 years on if he should be a Hall of Famer or not. I really think that he's a scumbag and deserves everything he gets. He's a Hall of Famer statistically, but not as a person, as he continually lied to millions of people. Shoeless is the one who started everything with the White Sox World Series scandal back in 1919. Read it, it's a great story,

You Can Do It

Freddy Adu! Bruce Arena the head coach of America's soccer team has invited Freddy to a camp for possible determination of playing for America. I personally think he would be an excellent addition not only for his skill, but also for marketing reasons. We need to get to a point where we actually contend in the World's greatest sports event.

Jeter and A-rod to Switch Positions?

A-rod back to short and Jeter to Center? Torre has thought about it. Hey Joe, why don't you think about winning the World Series with the 500 million dollar payroll Stein boy gives you and Cashman. Also think about adding pitchers to your staff that are under the age of 38. To bad you missed out on Beckett. Atleast you still have Wright and Pavano, ha!! Yankees

NFL Backtracking?

It seems there is a difference of opinion on discussions between the league and Mike Holmgen after the game against the Giants and Seahawks. Holmgren states the league apologizes for botching calls and league officials seem to have amnesia. I can tell you I watched the game and the Shockey and Toomer touchdown catches should have both been called back.

Fire Joey Harrington Instead

That's what Dre Bly and Jeff Garcia think after Mariucci's firing. I understand Garcia because Mariucci is the reason he is successful, but Dre Bly's remark is more startling. How many more players think this and do they agree with StonecoldJZ that Millen is the one who needs the boot?

No, this has nothing to do with sports but I found this picture of Bill and Hillary Clinton circa 1968 and thought it was amusing.

Does it get any worse than this?

Can the NFL please stop jerking off the Mannings. They may be "Good People" but I actually want my sports hero's to be guys who actually win something. Memo to Colts fans, it's NEVER gonna happen.

Big Ben Sucks

Pittsburgh Fans, your QB's Talent is limited and when he faces good teams, he needs to throw for more yards than his age. You heard it here first, 3 more years for this kid and he's done. I don't want to hear anymore of this crap about Big Ben, how about win a big game, Big Ben. If I offended some of your Steeler fans, I don't give a crap.

Lousiville Gator Bowl Bound BUT....

The Cardinals will not have their starting quarterback Brian Brohm who tore a ligament in his knee against Syracuse this past Saturday. It will more than likely become even more frustrating for Louisville when it's announced they will face the Miami Hurricanes in the Gator Bowl. This is almost an expected ending to the Cardinals season since many sports experts predicted Lousiville to go undefeated this year and be in the BCS National Championship game. Those aspirations were dashed early on this season when the Cardinals were trashed by South Florida and then lost in a shootout to West Virginia. Louisville Cardinals

A's Sign Veteran Pitcher

Oakland today announced the signing of Esteban Loiaza to a three year contract worth almost 22 million. I question this signing a little, but he did win 12 last year in Washington and had an ERA of 3.77. Oakland Athletics

No Hall of Fame for Rose

The latest ballots were announced today for MLB Hall of Fame and again no Pete Rose because his ability to be inducted has expired. Pete only needed to realize that America is willing to forgive someone who steps up like a man and asks for forgiveness. Pete Rose

Mets Spending Spree Continues

Holy cow! Omar Minoya and the Mets are on a roll. The most recent acquisition is solid closer Billy Wagner. Wagner agreed to a four year 43 million dollar contract today. Wagner saved 38 games for the Phillies this last year, but Philly didn't want to commit to Wagner past three years. Is a new catcher next for the Mets or is it going to be Manny? Stay tuned. Mariucci Ousted

Three days after it was first reported Steve Mariucci would be fired from the Detroit Lions it happened. As I stated here on Sports Underground Friday I really think the Ford family needs to take a long hard look at Millen too. Let's not forget he is the bonehead who hired Marty Moningweg.....now there is a lame name from the past huh? The poor Detroit Lions have one playoff win in 48 years and I sure don't see things changing anytime soon. Story: Steve Mariucci

Leftwich Out to Lunch

The Jaguars won today against Arizona, but they lost their fearless leader for at least a month. Leftwich cracked a bone in his ankle on the very first play of the game and tried to play for only a few more before he was carted off the field. David Garrard filled in adequately, but certainly doesn't have the game experience Leftwich has gained to date. The Jags need all the wins they can get since the AFC playoff race is so tight and full of talent. Jacksonville Jaguars

Just Say No

Mr. Irvin! Michael has been arrested again on possession of drug paraphenalia today in Plano Texas. This man is one of the best wide receivers ever and actually is a charismatic figure for ESPN, but he simply can't stay out of trouble. At this time ESPN managment is deliberating on what to do with Michael, but don't be surprised if Michael Irvin goes the way of Rush Limbaugh! More importantly will this affect his potential to make the Hall of Fame? I doubt that, but it might take something that drastic for Michael to get straight. Michael Irvin

Cranky Chaney

What else is new right? John Chaney has over his coaching career provided many opportunities to see his cranky personality. Today when his Temple Owls were up by 16 with a few minutes left at home someone from the crowd decided to throw an object on the court. This drew the ire of Chaney and he grabbed the court microphone and said it wasn't Temple's way to be seen as "idiots" and "stupid is forever" and "you can't change stupidity." On a positive note point guard Mardy Collins scored 19 points and had seven assists for the Temple Owls. Collins is the real deal and will be scouted at most every game this year by the NBA. Temple Owls

MLB Round Up

Hey Peter, give me some friggin input!!! Guys the MLB is looking great for next year as my beloved Sox now have a stud in Beckett to go along with the Louisiana stud in Pappelbon, oh yes, the sox look good but their is still work to do. White Sox, WTF? Thome? Enough said. Great signing by the Jays, yah right, 5 years for Blow Job Ryan? Come on, he had one good year. Hey that's baseball and that's why I love it. I'm extremely surprised that George hasn't done anything thus far. But they are the Yankees and know how to make everybody's lives a living hell. Has anyone checked out Wolfman sports lately? It's pretty f...ing good.

New York Mets Facelift

The Mets have already picked up Carlos Delgado and now are looking to add a new catcher to the squad. Mike Piazza is gone so the Mets have turned their attention to Ramon Hernandez of the Padres or Bengie Molina of the Angels. Either one would be a solid addition and if the Mets do land Manny Ramirez like Omar Minoya wants then the Mets will have a solid contender this coming year. New York Mets

Thome Traded to White Sox

Does this mean the White Sox are worried about their ability to re-sign Paul Kornerko? Jim Thome has been traded to Chicago along with 22 million dollars and the Phillies get center fielder Aaron Rowand a minor league player and one to be named later. If Thome is back to his old self after his surgery last year then Chicago has just added a huge bat to their squad. Jim Thome

Steve Mariucci in Trouble

I am a little stunned at this situation in Detroit. I realize the Lions are far from living up to the expectations people had for them coming into this season, but fire Mooch before it's even done? I think the Ford family should take a long hard look at president Matt Millen too and at least wait till the end of the year before making a decision. Steve has two more years on his contract after this year worth more than 10 million dollars. I can assure you if they do fire Mariucci he will land on his feet very soon with another NFL team. Introducing WOLFMAN SPORTS!!!!!!!!!

Do they want us?? You bet your ass they do. We know if we want to take this "sports thing" to the next level we are in dire need of some serious "backers". What will happen if I mess up one of my picks, like that will ever friggin happen. What will happen if I feed you a line of bullshit on a story, like that's gonna happen. The bottom line is the B.O.E. and StoneCold need some help to spread our love for all sports and sports picks for all of you die hards. You should expect the best from us and we aim to please. Wolfman Sports
picked our asses up and for that we are thankful. They also are picking up all of our blogs and future blogs. They have sports betting, forums/message boards, news, up to date lines, fantasy news, contests, polls, if you don't believe me, visit them yourself. So to the best damned sports show, Stephen A. Smith, and any other imposter site in fantasy land, we are coming after you and before long we will demolish you. So thank you Wolfman Sports, we're excited to join the team!! OUT!!!

There comes a time in one's life when you need to leave your family and take care of your "real" family. As sad as it may seem, the sports know it all has come to the conclusion that teaming up with another powerful source may be better than trying to do everything yourself, needless to say, I have a lot of thinking to do.......stay tuned.

You've Been Pittsnoggled

That is what my man from West Virginia in the picture is bellowing. Normally that would be a bad thing if you weren't West Virginia, but West Virginia was Pittsnoggled this evening. Tonight in the semifinals of the Guardians Classic the Mountaineers almost took down #2 Texas. West Virginia was lead by Mike Gansey who scored 28 and Kevin Pittsnoggle missed the front end of two one and ones in the last 30 seconds that would have sealed the deal. Texas had four players in double figures lead by point guard Daniel Gibson who dropped 20, but LaMarcus Eldridge made an outstanding block on the final shot to save the win in a score of 76-75. Box Score: West Virginia Mountaineers

No More Chunky Soup

This year at least. In what was to me the inevitable the Eagles have announced McNabb will have surgery for his sports hernia and is gone for the year. It is also thought that Lito Sheppard one of the starting cornerbacks for Philadelphia is also gone for the year. I can't help but think about the year after the Panthers made the Super Bowl and there were jinxed with injury after injury and think the same thing is happening to the Eagles. I have said it once and I will keep on saying it...turn out the light Philly the party is over! Donvan McNabb

Breaking News on Terrell Owens

Chris Mortensen just reported the final status on TO will be announced no later than noon Wednesday. The all knowing Mortensen did not have a real opinion when asked what the decision would be. Yo Chris, I will help you out, the players union will win and the Eagles will cut Owens WITH PAY the day after. What a Thanksgiving that will be for Mr. Owens.

Maui Kicks Off with a Bang

In one of the deepest fields ever in the Thanksgiving extravaganza Michigan State whooped the host Chaminade and Gonzaga outlasted Maryland in the afternoon session of day one. Michigan State played around for a little while with Chaminade before blowing them out in the second half. Adam Morrison scored 25 to lead the Zags past the Terps. Stephen A. Smith

I rarely come across people that I can't stand. You see, the B.O.E. has much love to spread around for fellow sports enthusiasts but the man to my right (with a little present next to ya) I want off the air immediately. I really need to take a poll and ask who the hell actually likes this guy. Stephen, you have NO talent and your jive talk is pissing the B.O.E. off.

Buckeyes Prevail

Wow! What a game and what a tradition. Troy Smith pulls a houdini duck and dodge in the backfield and then threw a bullet to Gonzalez to put Ohio State into field goal range with less than a minute left down 19-21. After a couple of plays to set up a game winning field goal The Ohio State running back Pittman runs one in to win what many say is the biggest rivalry in all of college sports. Not only was the huge for the Buckeyes, but it also is for Stonecoldjz because another 5 star pick gets my pockets fatter. Box Score: Ohio State Buckeyes

NFL Playoffs

We’ve passed the halfway mark in the NFL and many divisions, with the exception of the Colts, are in tight races for the finish. Here's a look at some NFL teams that may have struggled in the first half of the season, but might be ready to make a better second half run.

Lions: Stop the presses, Detroit scored 29 points! The Lions' victory over the Cardinals Sunday gave them some confidence. More importantly, they're getting healthy. The defense returned some key personnel up front, while WRs Roy Williams returned and caught 7 passes for 117 yards. The Lions aren't Super Bowl timber, but who is in the NFC? After all, Detroit plays in a weak division and could make a second half surge. Games against Minnesota, Green Bay and New Orleans will help.

Rams: Another team that catches a break by getting healthy. Getting QB Marc Bulger and WR Isaac Bruce back is a big plus, and St. Louis has that great home field edge. Their poor run defense is a problem, but the schedule is kind, with games against Cardinals, Texans, Vikings and 49ers coming up.

Patriots: New England had the toughest schedule in the NFL through the first eight games, and now faces the second easiest second half schedule. On Sunday, the Pats had a big win at Miami. DE Richard Seymour returned, which makes the defensive line much better, and the play of CB Ellis Hobbs was very good, bringing some help to what has been a horrendous secondary since S Rodney Harrison was lost for the year. They are very likely to go on a strong second-half run and easily win the weak AFC East. Once in the playoffs, anything can happen. And they still have QB Tom Brady, Adam Vinateri and Bill Belichick.

Chargers: Everything went right for this talented young team in 2004, and all the breaks seem to be going against them this year. Games against Buffalo, Miami and Oakland -- all at home -- are easy ones. The schedule is still very challenging, with games at Washington, Indy and Kansas City, before a home finale with Denver. This team certainly has the talent to get hot, but they’ve blown too many games, making their margin for slip-ups razor thin if they want a return trip to the playoffs.

Cowboys: Dallas takes on Philly Monday night, a game to which the Cowboys enter with a 5-3 record. When you realize they lost by 6 at Oakland and had two stunning last-second collapses to the Redskins and Seahawks, this team could very easily be 7-1 or even 8-0 with a few breaks. Note that Dallas is No. 5 in the NFL in total defense!

Vikings: Sunday’s thrilling upset of the NY Giants might lead to a memorable second-half surge by the Vikings (and make Mike Tice Comeback Coach of the Year). After all, veteran QB Brad Johnson came out of nowhere to lead the Bucs to a Super Bowl title just three seasons ago. OK, that's all baloney. I’m just seeing if you're awake. The Vikings are still a bad football team that got outgained by the Giants 405-137! They only won because of a defensive touchdown and two kick returns for TDs. Did you see Tice get flattened on the sidelines by a player rolling into him? It won’t be the last time Tice gets sacked -- probably by management when the season ends. That was just a wacky win which happens from time to time in the NFL. Minnesota will not be making a second half surge.

Are the Pats on the Comeback Trail?

Well it seems that players are starting to come back but more players are also leaving. But they are the Patriots and know how to win. Would you bet against them?

Miami Rap Song

I honestly didn't think this was all that bad or surprising, but I had to mention the story. It seems some of the Miami football players from a couple of years ago wanted to be the next Luther Campbell and get banned in the USA. The thing is this is from two years ago and it's so not as big as other issues the university has faced. Oh well, tell me what you think. Miami Hurricanes

TO Won't Die

Tomorrow is the meeting with an arbitrator who could cut his suspension to two games rather than four. What blows me away more than this news is that Jeremiah Trotter is really speaking out on the behalf of Terrell. Trotter has always been a big supporter for Owens, but he is really stepping it up. There has been rumors that TO might actually get back on the team and PLAY! I still think Rob Zombie will become a monk before that happens, but you just never know. Duke Blue Devils trounce Seton Hall

Duke pretty much played like crap the other night but showed their dominance against the Hall tonight and why they are head and shoulders above any other team in College Basketball this year. Look for another NCAA Championship for the dookies. Coach K, it was only Seton Hall, no need to get that excited with the grand kids.
